Local Film Premiere & musical performance – More than just a film premiere, Journey of the 11th is a celebration of our veterans from the past and present! Join the Sturgis Historical Society as they present the next film in the Windows to Our Past series: Journey of the 11th! The Sturgis Wind Symphony will also be presenting select musical pieces throughout the evening as we honor all of our veterans on Veteran’s Day! Veterans are entitled to a free ticket to the evening’s presentation, available in person at the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts. Directed by Mike Mort, this Windows to Our Past film is proudly presented by the Sturgis Historical Society, with support from the Sturgis Area Community Foundation through the Newell A. and Grace A. The City Commission Organizational meeting is held the second Monday of November each year at City Hall, 130 N. Nottawa St.

The Planning Commission advises the City Commission on matters relating to the development of the City and prepares and recommends a Master Plan and Zoning Code for the City as scheduled and mandated by State law.

The Airport Advisory Committee deals with airport matters; addresses issues of airport facilities and proposed improvements.

City Commission meetings are held the second and fourth Wednesday's of the month in the Wiesloch Raum at City Hall, 130 N. Nottawa St.
